A security update will be coming soon to AppSuite which will impact both internal employees and contractor. This update changes the way a user logs into AppSuite but once logged in, AppSuite functionality will not change.
AppSuite
Once the change is in place, users will need to reset AppSuite:
- In AppSuite click on the tile with your name
- On the screen that opens, select Reset
- Finally select Reset App
- This will take you back to the Organizational Identifier field. Enter 5734657888 and Submit in the upper right hand corner
- You will need the new AppSuite login screen
Notice, there’s no longer a place to enter your credentials on this screen. You now see a button that says Sign In*
*What happens when you hit Sign in depends on if you are an internal employee or a contractor.
Internal Employee
All internal employees have been set up with Duo Mobile security for multi-factor authentication. We will continue to leverage that system.
- When you hit sign in you will see the following login screen. Enter your full southcentralpower.com or connectscp.com email address and click Next and enter your normal password (the same one for typical AppSuite/Email access).
- After entering your password, your Duo Mobile MFA will be asking if you are really logging in. (If you didn’t default your Duo option to automatically perform a Push notification, select the option to “Send Me a Push”)
- Click the notification at the top of your screen (or jump over to your Duo Mobile app) and approve the login.
Pro tip: You can press and hold on the notification and select approve without having the change screens. - This step is only applicable the FIRST login after the change -
- After approving your login, returning to AppSuite
- You will be prompted asking if you trust South Central Power Company
- Select Continue
- You may then be prompted asking if you want to remain signed in. Select Yes to make your life a bit easier.
- At this point, AppSuite should look familiar. The login process is complete and AppSuite should operate normally. You will need to download Company Data and GIS data again. For that reason, we recommend doing this in the office.
